Guest Posted October 4, 2002 Posted October 4, 2002 Is there a contact at Netscape or AOL for a ultimate manager of the directory? There has to be someone in charge, somewhere???
Guest Posted October 4, 2002 Posted October 4, 2002 Beyond the staff email, isn't there someone at Netscape who actually is responsible for the effective management of the DMOZ?
thehelper Posted October 4, 2002 Posted October 4, 2002 The contact information for staff at dmoz.org is staff@dmoz.org We have no other information to give you - not because we do not want to - just that is the same information we have. If you want to contact the people in charge at dmoz you send email to the above address. If you want to contact someone at Netscape here a link http://wp.netscape.com/company/contacts/index.html?cp=cmp
apeuro Posted October 4, 2002 Posted October 4, 2002 isn't there someone at Netscape who actually is responsible for the effective management of the DMOZ? Nope - that's sort of the idea behind a "self-managing community"
Guest Posted October 16, 2002 Posted October 16, 2002 I'm not sure if ya'll don't know the facts or don't tell the truth, but there is a contact at Netscape who is the Editor in Chief.
thehelper Posted October 16, 2002 Posted October 16, 2002 Yup, and his contact email address is staff@dmoz.org
foetusized Posted October 16, 2002 Posted October 16, 2002 Hmm, that is his contact email (and he gets a lot of mail there) but his title is not Editor in Chief, IIRC -- Foe
Khym_Chanur Posted October 17, 2002 Posted October 17, 2002 Beyond the staff email, isn't there someone at Netscape who actually is responsible for the effective management of the DMOZ?Do you want the person who is the boss of the staff@dmoz.org people?
Meta miriam Posted October 17, 2002 Meta Posted October 17, 2002 Vito Corleone? <img src="/images/icons/grin.gif" alt="" /> miriamferrari - Meta Editor "Oh Miriam"
beebware Posted October 17, 2002 Posted October 17, 2002 If you can give us even the vaguist idea what this is about, then we will be able to point you towards the right person. You could say that the CEO of AOL Time Warner is the 'ultimate manager' of the directory, but since ODP is just a very very small part of AOLTW, he may not even be totally aware what ODP is - let alone how to answer your question...
