Menschman Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 Hi Dmoz.org Editorial Staff: I submitted my website 3 weeks ago on February 19th, 2004 entitled: Become A Loan Broker - Loan Broker Program at: http://www.becomealoanbroker.net/ in the following category (which does not have an editor): http://dmoz.org/Business/Opportunities/Resources_and_Networking/Education_and_Training/ According to the Dmoz guidelines, I must wait 3 weeks before submitting my website again, but since there is no editor for that category, I thought I would ask here first about the status of my website. There is no mailing address on my website to protect against unscrupulous visitors. If you need that information as part of accepting the submission, I can e-mail you it at an e-mail address supplied by you. Sincerely, Malcolm.
raggedyrugs Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 Is waiting to be reviewed. Unfortunately, there is a fair number of others also waiting. Please do not submit again? It will most likely overwrite the current submission. Please ask again in 2-3 months using this thread?
Menschman Posted March 11, 2004 Author Posted March 11, 2004 All right, in 3 months. I understand it is a volunteer operation. I hope it is worth the wait. Thanks for the reply and all the best and it is a marvelous directory. Malcolm.
Menschman Posted November 16, 2004 Author Posted November 16, 2004 Site Submission Status: http://www.becomealoanbroker.net/ Hi DMOZ Staff: It's been well over 6 months since I last inquired about the status of my website. There's no editor for the category I inquired about. Can you tell me if the websites in the queue for this category have been reviewed since the last time I asked in March 2004, including mine? Once again, the category is: http://dmoz.org/Business/Opportunities/Education_and_Training/ and my url is: http://www.becomealoanbroker.net/ Thanks in advance for your time and for any reply. Sincerely, Malcolm.
Editall/Catmv arubin Posted November 17, 2004 Editall/Catmv Posted November 17, 2004 No change in status of your site.
Menschman Posted November 21, 2004 Author Posted November 21, 2004 Status of: www.becomealoanbroker.net Hi: Thanks for your reply. Since there's no editor, has the category been looked at over the last year and if not, should I drill upward in the categories until I get an editor's e-mail address? When do I ask next? I ask this because I've seen others apply to a DMOZ category this year and get into it after one week. In the meantime, can I apply to another category I just discovered that I feel is also appropriate, perhaps even more appropriate? Thanks again. Sincerely, Malcolm.
Editall/Catmv arubin Posted November 23, 2004 Editall/Catmv Posted November 23, 2004 [faq=odp#faq_category]What category should I submit to[/faq] (That doesn't quite answer your question -- if you haven't made multiple submissions to inappropriate categories, and you now think that you've found the best category for your site, you may resubmit there.) [faq=odp#faq_no_editor]My category has no editor[/faq] (That doesn't quite answer your question -- but Emailing an editor is unlikely to get a response.)
Menschman Posted January 20, 2005 Author Posted January 20, 2005 Staus of: www.becomealoanbroker.net Hi ODP Staff: Is there any change in the status of my website? :o Category: http://dmoz.org/Business/Opportunities/Education_and_Training/ My website: http://www.becomealoanbroker.net/ Thanks for your reply. Sincerely, Menschman.
Menschman Posted January 20, 2005 Author Posted January 20, 2005 Status of: http://www.becomeloanbroker.net/ Hi ODP Staff: Someone just took off my posting for some reason. Is it because I have to ask every 6 months about the status of my website? Sincerely, Menschman.
Editall/Catmv arubin Posted January 20, 2005 Editall/Catmv Posted January 20, 2005 Someone just took off my posting for some reason. Is it because I have to ask every 6 months about the status of my website? Almost certainly not. We sometimes block users who ask about their site every day or so, but we don't delete posts. hutcheson said "Forum Policy Violation". You may ask for status after May 17, 2005 2:32 pm PDT.
Menschman Posted January 20, 2005 Author Posted January 20, 2005 All right Hi ARubin, and thanks for the reply: I hope it wasn't me that had violated a Forum Policy. I did post last night and saw it, but about a half hour later didn't see it. That's why I asked if someone took it off. In any case, I imagine the category hasn't been looked at in a while, so I'll ask again after your designated time, G-d willing, if I'm still alive (I never try to be G-d). Baruch Hashem! Shalom!
