rtsaito Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 Hi guys, I tried to apply for an editor position last Saturday and I got an email from dmoz saying that I have to reply it. So I replied and here's what I got: -- Subject: Re: opendir - 0772ac90322a13c812f0faf72d6ce7c1 Your Open Directory editor application could not be confirmed. The error received was: Can't find your authentication ticket -- So I tried to reply with only "opendir - 0772ac90322a13c812f0faf72d6ce7c1", "0772ac90322a13c812f0faf72d6ce7c1", and other variants, but without luck. Well, after reading the forums I read somewhere that maybe I should re-apply because maybe the application was lost. So, now I get this error after filling the form again "Sorry, you can only have one application at a time.". Well, what should I do? Just sit and wait? Thanks for your time.
brmehlman Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 Something must have worked one of those times. We have your application.
rtsaito Posted March 29, 2004 Author Posted March 29, 2004 Hi, First, thanks for your answer. I have a theory about what happened, my ISP has an antispam system, so when I get an email from an unknow address the ISP sends back an message asking for a reply. So, probably, the dmoz system got the message and processed my application. Well, my suggestion would be change the error message to something like "application already received".
Meta mcoupal Posted March 29, 2004 Meta Posted March 29, 2004 If your isp does that, I wonder if you would find out whether your application was accepted or not.. Curlie: Been trying to give up the editing addiction since day 1. :moz:
rtsaito Posted March 29, 2004 Author Posted March 29, 2004 If your isp does that, I wonder if you would find out whether your application was accepted or not.. There's a quarantine folder that I usually check twice a day.
