sofiaula Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 Hi, I have a website that I had submitted for review. In it I sell products online. I also have a link from my homepage to articles about helping kids to read, steps to successful reading etc. On those pages, beside the articles, I have recommended some books from amazon.com via affiliate program. I know DMOZ doesn't like sites based on affiliate programs. But what if the affiliate links were supplementary, would it be basis for rejection? Thanks.
spectregunner Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 We look, first and foremost, at the unique content of the site, and then we make a determination to see if we think the affiliate links are supplement to the unque content, or the unique content (if any) is designed to drive surfers to the affiliate links. There are no hard and fast numbers, it is a judgement based on experience.
