I notice you advise people to check back after four weeks. Should I be checking back, or just wait until I hear from somebody? I don't want to waste your time if there is no purpose. Just anxious to get my site posted :)

Thanks for your help.

:) Mainly we tell people they can check back in 30 days, because we don't want them bugging us every week. But really there's no need to do that. It doesn't really help.

If it's not listed in 6 months or so, it does make sense to come back and inquire just to make sure that it wasn't accidentally deleted or something. But IMO monthly checks are really a waste of time.

Thank you. If I keep searching in DMOZ, when it is posted it will come up there, correct? There is no other way for me to check? Thanks again for your help, and I won't bother you anymore. :)

I would not bother searching right now, since the search function seems to be terminally dysfunctional. One day, maybe it will revive itself, at which point typing in the url like abc.com should find your site, when it's published. Check the bugs and features section here, to see when search is working.

If your site has not been listed there is no way for you to request that you get moved. When an editor reviews your submission if they feel it belongs one category up they will move it at that time. If you submit again you are just making more work for us as well as having 2 submissions in the same area of the directory is just asking to get one of them deleted as a duplicate and there is no telling which one will get the axe. Best to just leave things as they are and wait. My 2 cents.

Sorry, there's been no change in status: it's still awaiting review in [cat=Business/Industrial_Goods_and_Services/Industrial_Supply/Safety_Equipment_Supplies/]Business: Industrial Goods and Services: Industrial Supply: Safety Equipment Supplies[/cat]. If you don't see it listed sometime in the next six months, please feel free to return for a status update on or after 4 March.
