astoundit.com status check

Status check please for...

http://www.astoundit.com

Submitted to:

http://www.dmoz.com/Computers/Software/Retailers/

If it's still in que, do you think it would speed things up at all to resubmit in a subsection? The only reason we didn't narrow it down more the first time was because we cover many genres of software products, so it doesn't really fit into anything except the main retailer category...Thanks.

No change in status: it's still awaiting review.

Please do not resubmit your site to another category. At best this will just mean that an editor will have to waste time deleting duplicate submissions. It will not speed the review of your site.

We ask submitters to wait 6 months between repeat status requests. (This has nothing to do with the length of time until review; it is a way of managing the number of posts here at Resource-Zone.)

As you got a status report on July 12, you are next eligible for a report on January 12; if you haven't seen your site listed by then you are welcome back for another status report.

Your submission of March 7th, 2004 is still waiting for review, along with a large number of other sites. I'm sorry not to have better news.

Thanks...

Thanks for the update. I know this is typically a no-no, but since our category seems to be very backlogged and have no editor(s); would it be wise to just resubmit it to a different more specific category with an active editor?

Don't submit your site to a more specific category, submit it to the most specific category! And do not look whether there is an editor listed or not - this is not a good criterium for selecting a category.

If you are sure that you have found that best category, you may resubmit once.
