It may also be http://www.sprocketnetworks.com/main (since it's PHP)

Please excuse my ignorance. Due to the loss of our website admin, I do not know when this site was submitted or to which catagory. I only know that it was submitted. I do not wish to pre-maturely ask the status, but I don't know the submission date or catagory. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Unfortunately we do not have tools to search through all unreviewed sites, so we can not tell either which category it was submitted to.

Your best bet right now would be to find the most appropriate category for the site, and post that here. We can then look to see if the site was submitted to that category. If we find that it was not, you can submit there.

Thanks.

Alucard,

Thanks for the advice. The best guess I have is http://www.dmoz.com/Business/Telecommunications/Colocation/

(can't tell if this is a clickable link).

Once again the domain(s) is http://www.sprocketnetworks.com or http://www.sprocketnetworks.com/main or http://www.sprocketdata.com .

Thanks again for your help.

Anybody out there?

Is this thread dead? I don't want to start a new thread per the rules and regs.

The best guess I have as to which catagory we were submitted to is: http://www.dmoz.com/Business/Teleco...ons/Colocation/

or

http://www.dmoz.com/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Hosting/

Once again the domain(s) is http://www.sprocketnetworks.com or http://www.sprocketnetworks.com/main or http://www.sprocketdata.com .

Sorry for the confusion and hassle.

I'm not seeing any of those URLs waiting in either of those categories. I think that you should just go ahead and find the one best category for your main URL and submit it again.

Your suggestion is still pending review in that category. Please bookmark this thread and return here to ask for a status again after December 1, 2004 if you do not find it listed by that date. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply

Thanks for the reply at least, Koko. I appreciate the daunting task that you moderators have and I feel for you.

However, it begs the question: "How relevant is a directory that is 6 months old?"

Posted

Well, it's a loaded question, but I'll return a loaded answer:

Good enough that we don't automatically delete all links that are more than 6 months old.

See you in December! :o :o :o

No, there's almost never reason to expect a change in any specific time frame. Think of it as a ticket in a lottery: one in 200 (or so) tickets wins every day, and your ticket stays until you win (a review, that is.)

The complexity is that we don't stir before we draw, so a ticket may stay in a dark corner for an indeterminate time.

Thanks for the reply

Okay Hutch,

I appreciate the response. If you could ease my mind about one thing. I've gone back and clicked on the link in my past posts just to check the size of the catagory, who's listed, etc. When I click the link that I've posted (cut and pasted) I get the message "The page you attempted to access does not exist on this site."

Surely my catagory has not been deleted. I just don't want to stay in that dark corner waiting for a reviewer in a catagory that no longer exists or has been moved or forgotten.

Thanks for any news and I'll try to leave you guys alone... ...for a while anyways

You copied the first category link you had [which was ok] and pasted it into the next message - which does not work in this forum. So the second link is meaningless with ... in the middle. Click on the first one - it works fine.

Try the FIRST post in which you included that link. The category's still there. :)

Even if we delete a category, we deal with its unreviewed queue first -- that is, move them to new places, just like we move the listed sites.
