Hello,

This site is awaiting review in the category you mention. You do not need to suggest it again.

Thanks.

That was a quick reply :)

You're very kind. I'll wait for a month from today before making any other query on this matter.

Hi, I've just come to check the date of my last post. It doesn't look like it's been a month yet... so I'll go away and come back in a few days.

Hi guys,

It's been a month now since my original query, and over two months since the submission. Can I please ask:

1. Has there been any progress in getting my site listed? Has anyone had a look at it yet?

2. Does this category have an active editor?

Thanks for your time.

It's still awaiting review there but there is no way to predict when that might happen. The category has several hundred editors and one of them could do some work there tomorrow - or not. Editors 'taking a look' don't leave footprints unless they actually process the suggestion in some way. Nobody has.

SIX months?! Wow. I've obviously missed something. The last time I checked it was one month. Bummer.

Thanks for your reply jimnoble.

Hi guys, it's been a long, long time... over a year since my original post. I can't see any changes in this cat. Is there still someone editing in this cat? Do I need to submit again? Is there any chance I'll ever get listed? :(

It is still waiting for review. You would hurt yourself by submitting again.

If you're thinking of "one particular robot who stamps all the cartons that come down the conveyor belt at a rate of one every 35.3 days", no, there isn't anyone "actively editing." Of course, that is true of 99.9% of all categories. There are, however, hundreds of editors who are allowed to edit there. These editors typically are "very active" (edits per day) but do not edit categories in any predictable fashion.

A new editor might attack that category tomorrow. Or a group of editors might organize a clean-up effort. (Such things are ALWAYS going on ... somewhere in the directory.) There is just no way of predicting.

Thanks for your reply and the tips.

I'll have to continue playing the waiting game, I guess. And to think I spent so much of time studying the right way to make a submission, read third-party guides on what mistakes not to make and then prepared what I thought was the perfect submission .... :(
