Submission status for http://www.UreaSample.com

Hello:

I would like to find out why our site was removed

from your directory? Our domain and link is

http://www.ureasample.com and the category it was in

is Shopping: Recreation: Drugs: Detox Products http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Recreation/Drugs/Detox_Products/ . Comparing the site with the many others in this

category it seems like there should be no problem in

adding it. There are many sites which you list that

sell these products. We are pretty sure that we have

also met the other criteria which is specified by

dmoz. The only thing that we can account for is

that after our site was listed we modified it

drastically by eliminating frames. This however does

not explain why numerous requests over the past few

months have gone ignored. In conclusion I would

like to add that we are number one under the phrase "urine sample" and "clean urine" in the google

search engine as well as many others. Please

reconsider adding us to your directory or, if at all

possible, let us know the reason why it has not been

added.

Sincerely,

Steve

It was removed because our automated link checker found that the site was dead, and when an editor came along to check (28/08/2002 18:28:31 PDT), it was still dead. Now that it's back I suggest you re-submit it.

Re Submission status for http://www.UreaSample.com

Hi:

I've resubmitted the site however I have also done this several times within the past few months with what seems no success. In any case I guess it should be in the queue from this and previous attempts. I thought that maybe I could update the URL but it wasn't found in the database. Hopefully this time it'll work out. I appreciate the quick response.

It's there, in a queue of less than 20 sites. You should not resubmit again, as every time you do so your submission falls back to the end of the queue.

You shouldn't use 'update URL' if your site is not listed.

If it was in there a week ago shouldn't it have been checked already? Also since the site has been up and then removed, can't you guys repost it a little sooner. The reason it was down is because I used a bad hosting company that didn't care about their uptime. I have resolved this issue by switching to a more reliable host so now all should be well. <img src="/images/icons/confused.gif" alt="" />

Your submission has not been touched yet. We don't guarantee that all submissions will be checked within one week or two. Submissions will be checked, but we can't say when an editor will take some time to go through a specific category.

No. Some sites get listed "within five minutes", others wait for months. It depends on when a volunteer gets there.

>Also since the site has been up and then removed, can't you guys repost it a little sooner?

No. If you had put in an "update URL" request before it was removed, then it should have just had the URL changed. (editors don't always get this right, however). But now it's just a website review like any other.

Re: Submission status for http://www.UreaSample.co

The url was not changed so we didn't perform an "update url." It seems the site was removed because it wasn't up. Please could someone just please look at the site and add it to the directory. It seems we were removed for using an unreliable hosting service and now months later after changing to a more reliable service we can't seem to get back into the directory. We have hits coming from google, yahoo and aol for months now but still have not been listed here. It seems like it should be the other way around. I think the fact that we have submitted this site in July and that it has been up before should account for something, at least maybe in making the review process a little easier and quicker. It seems all we're getting is generic responses from people that aren't even reading from the beginning of this thread. Please if someone could just look into the matter and help us out that would be great.

Sincerely, Steve

Since the site has already been reviewed, and was only a server down problem that triggered the deletion, I have re-reviewed the site and added it back to the category.
