I have submitted this site several times, I know you have a huge amount of submissions. just wondering?

Regional: North America: United States: New Hampshire: Guides and Directories

 

And also does anyone know when the directory will be updated? Thank you

Your site is the only one waiting in that category. New Hampshire seems to be reasonably well represented so I can't imagine it'll take too long before your site is reviewed.

 

If your submission is accepted, then your site will appear in the directory almost immediately, but it may be some weeks/months before you appear in the Google Web Directory, or any of our other downstream data users.

 

And finally, it helps if you provide a clickable link to the category; it's quicker for us to find your submission.

No we don't: your site will be reviewed when an editor decides to review sites in that category. This could be anytime from five minutes ago to several months.

 

As we are all volunteers, we can't dedicate set amounts of time to the ODP and just try and "pitch in" and give a hand when and where we can: we cannot, and will not, make any guarantees about how long it will take a site to get reviewed.

 

However, because your site is the only one awaiting review in that category - it does indicate that it is well maintained, and, therefore, it shouldn't be long until an editor gets round to it. But how long - we can't say. However, the more people that help out by becoming editors, the more sites we can review in the same time period.

 

Sorry I can't give you much more positive feedback, but that's just the way things are. Oh, what the hell, I'll stick my neck out and say that it is likely your site will be reviewed within the next 3 years <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" /> If it's any longer than that, well, erm, obviously something has gone wrong. Heh.

Hello I Submitted this site some time ago and I have done a Status Request and they said it was the only one waiting in that category. Last night an editor looked at my site they left 16 hits on my counter.

 

Now today there is no listing of my site no sorry about that e-mail or even a dear Jhon/website owner - letter, I dont understand what the problem is I mean the site offers:

 

Free: Classifieds, Auctions, Personals, E-Mail, Music Downloads, Movie Reviews & Trailers, Kids Pages, TV Listings, Games, Horoscopes,Chat, World and Local News, All For Free! this site also uses ODP Search and a Local Directory with over 5.000 listings.

 

We spent over 6 Months on this project and edit the site every day can you please let me know whats up. Thank you

Yesterday an editor found your site in the unreviewed queues of Regional/North America/United States/New Hampshire and Regional/North America/United States/New Hampshire/Business and Economy/Directories and deleted these submissions because your site is already waiting in the queue of Regional/North America/United States/New Hampshire/Guides and Directories.

I think he means, when will the site get reviewed and therefore listed?

We dont know when sites will get a review, since editing is voluntary and noone is forced to edit or to reduce unreviewed.

 

The "queue" mentioned above is no update queue but the way we see the unreviewed entries. Since editors can see them sorted by time of submission its possible to speak of a queue <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />
