Can I promote my forum here?

I am really not sure if this is the right place to promote a forum I have started. I did a search only google for promoting my site and it come up with this forum.

 

Anyway I have started a new UK based general entertainment forum and looking for new members to help build the community the forum is called DigiChat and can be found at

Can we promote this forum over there? WE have 4 700 members who we could send over to your forum just to promote this one.

Well could somebody delete it then. I don't want to upset anybody. What is this forum for new if not site promoting??

This forum is here to help people get their site listed in dmoz.

It is not a place to promote your site. I have removed the link from your post. If you want to promote your site head to any of the million or so sites that specialize in website promotion.
