Shanae Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 Site for skateboarders.. http://www.freewebs.com/shanae2/index.htm Um, can anybody who knows how to add your site to the directory thing tell me how please? 'Cause I read the thing and i'm just getting horribly confused.. that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..
leannabartram Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 Shanae, The contents of your guestbook would probably prevent it from being listed in Kids and Teens. However, in general, you would go to the category within http://dmoz.org that you wish to submit to, and then click on the "suggest URL" link in the top right-hand corner of the page.
tweedy7736 Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 At first glance it would seem your site would do well in http://www.dmoz.org/Kids_and_Teens/People_and_Society/Personal_Homepages/By_Teens/S/ since it isn't really broad enough about skateboarding in general to go in a category about that. So if you click that link, you'll see (as leanna said), the "suggest url" link at the top of the page. Click that and it should be pretty explanatory from there. To reiterate what Leanna said, your guestbook contents might cause us not to list your site, and depending on the editor your site could either be deleted or sent for review in another non-Kids and Teens portion of the directory.
Shanae Posted August 15, 2004 Author Posted August 15, 2004 Whoops, i guess you're right about that thing about stuff in my Guestbook.. guess it wouldn't really come under Kids and teens.. Outdoor activity, Sport or Recreation perhaps? Have attempted to delete my Guestbook as i wasn't wantting to keep it, just a initial way of getting feedback when started out, but appears that FreeWebs (thing hosting it) is playing up.. might have to try later. Thanks for your help, Shanae.
Shanae Posted August 15, 2004 Author Posted August 15, 2004 OK, have submitted to Skateboarding under Sports. Haha, should've done it before instead of Kids and Teens, considering not every skater is a kid (well most are..) but you get the occasional oldie still rippin' it up.
Baz9276 Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 On the bottem of search engines you should see something called 'Add Your Site' CLICK on that.
DesertJules Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Baz9276, Just a note: The ODP is not a search engine. There is no 'Add Your Site' at the bottom of any page. Have you visited the directory? (No offense intended.)
