Plyon Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 Hi all, I just want to be absolutely positive about this one. I am translating a dutch site (www.tijskookt.nl ) to be in english aswell. I believe to have read that i may now add the site to the (correct) english category too. I have already submitted this site to the dutch category World/Nederlands/.../Catering/. So is this true? Or is it only allowed once in the project? Regards, Plyon.
Meta hutcheson Posted June 7, 2004 Meta Posted June 7, 2004 The site may be considered for listing in each language for which it contains content, and yes, you are encouraged to submit it to the appropriate category in each language. Editors will consider each listing separately -- that is, being listed in one language will neither hinder nor help being listed in another.
lynhines Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 I apologize for coming in late to the discussion, but does this mean I can submit ie "domain.com/~en/" (which is an English site) as a separate site because it is not a direct translation of the Spanish site "domain.com".
xixtas01 Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 If the English language content is easily navigable from the home page, we would prefer you submit the root URL. But yes, you can submit to each language where you have good content. (No machine translations, please.)
Meta hutcheson Posted June 7, 2004 Meta Posted June 7, 2004 It doesn't matter whether the English and Spanish site have the same content, or different content. They will be judged independently.
