Davidjon23 Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 On May 3, 2004, I submitted http://www.broker-reviews.us/ to http://dmoz.org/Business/Investing/Brokerages/Online_Brokers . Since there is no editor listed in that category, I thought it best to remind the editors of its existence by mentioning it here. Of course, I would appreciate it if it is reviewed (and accepted!) as soon as possible. Thank you. David.
Meta hutcheson Posted June 8, 2004 Meta Posted June 8, 2004 There is no need to remind editors of sites in the unreviewed queue. Any editor that can edit a category can see whether there are sites waiting review there. Your site is waiting review. But it obviously doesn't belong in that category (it is not an online broker!). You might want to look for a better category -- one that has something to do with market research, consumer information, you know, something that the site actually has. And if you find a better category, you can go ahead and submit there. That will cut out the waiting for the current submittal to be shuffled to the right place, and save the editor work. (Save you time and us work -- a win-win situation.) And before you ask, two submittals doesn't constitute spam.
Davidjon23 Posted June 8, 2004 Author Posted June 8, 2004 Thanks for the advice! I have resubmitted it to http://dmoz.org/Home/Personal_Finance/Investing . I'm not sure that I would have considered that a perfect fit either, but there is already one site there which is very closely related, which is obviously a good sign. Thanks again. David.
