juanintermark Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 I was wondering if you could let me know the status of the site http://www.freedebtconsolidation.com, i submitted this at the end of february. I submitted it in http://www.dmoz.org/Business/Financial_Services/Financial_Planning/ I hope it is able to be included under debtconsolidation. Thank you
juanintermark Posted June 15, 2004 Author Posted June 15, 2004 Just want to clarify a couple things Hi, I just want to know that if my site is not eligible for the debt consolidation category, where would it be best suited? Our service gives the consumer the chance to become debt-free. Once they submit the application we connect them to the most appropriate debt consolidation agency, depending on their circumstance. We are very related with the debt consolidation field, if we cannot actually be in the debt consolidation category, we should be very close to it. I do not know what that would be. Maybe a new subcategory is needed. Thanks for listening.
Editall/Catmv arubin Posted June 15, 2004 Editall/Catmv Posted June 15, 2004 All we can say is, see http://dmoz.org/guidelines/include.html#notinclude ; and I may be saying too much even at that.
Meta hutcheson Posted June 15, 2004 Meta Posted June 15, 2004 I think you misunderstood me. When a site that may have some unique content is submitted to the wrong category, most of the time), then the editors try to find the right category for it. This is part of the normal job of editing, and we have a variety of tools to help this task. Unlike Yahoo, we don't just review the site for that category and delete it if it's not appropriate. So when we say "not eligible" we don't mean just for that category, we mean not eligible for any conceivable category. <put on forum moderator hat> I should mention that there is absolutely no need, no reason, and no point to describe the site here. Editors have the URL, are expected to look at the site itself -- as they have done.
