Guest Posted November 29, 2002 Posted November 29, 2002 I'm interested in a smaller category (40 +/-) that already lists an editor, but I've found significant problems with the sites listed.... i.e. sites that link to warez sites, one company listed three separate times, etc. Should I apply for this category, as I'm familiar with the industry and companies, or should I find another category that does not list an editor? Thanks.
Meta windharp Posted November 29, 2002 Meta Posted November 29, 2002 You could of course apply for the category, but some general advice: * For calculating the size include all physical subcategories (of course not the @links that point somewhere else). Add an unknown number of unreviewed entries (may be between 0 and say 200% of the listed) and try to stay well below about 100 with that number. That would make a good category (just from the size) to start with. * Additional to the three URLs in the application form you may want to point out some of the problems in the category - shows that you are interested and have looked into the existing entries. * When accepted and starting to clear the category, contact the resident editor right _before_ you start masschanging sites - just as a matter of kindness. Otherwise he/she might be worried. You dont want someone else to rush in and clean your house without asking, do you? Curlie Meta/kMeta Editor windharp
