The submission was not accepted about two months ago because the site was under construction --> insufficient content. If this has changed in the meantime and you've added substantially more content then you may resubmit. Consider the decision as 'site is not ready yet', and don't take it personal. Thanks.

I humbly beg to differ sir. The site was up and running for at least a year before I submitted it to dmoz. I know what a stickler it is to get a site listed, There were no construction pages and all content was new, relevant and is still being updated daily. I have been submitting my sites to dmoz for over 5 years and have full knowledge as to what it takes and all the requirements.

However, I understand that I cannot appeal so I will re-submit the site and wait for several months before checking again.

Sorry to rant, but the process is so slow and when mistakes are made, we are penalized with no recourse.

Thank You

You shouldn't have started a new thread, but I've merged the two, so don't worry about it.

Is it possible to have it in both Regional and Recreational?

If the site is both relevant to the topic of the [cat]Recreation/[/cat] category and the locally relevant to the [cat]Regional/[/cat] category, yes it is possible (though not guaranteed).

However, I ca'n't find a submission for that URL in the [cat]Recreation/[/cat] category, and there is no record of it having been reviewed there.

A recent submission is awaiting review in Chats and Forums, and an older one in Personal Pages.

There were no construction pages and all content was new, relevant and is still being updated daily.

I have no idea what your site looked like back in April, but maybe the updates since then made the difference when your site was recently accepted. We don't reject sites just for fun and, as you've seen, it doesn't necessarily take months to get a review.

Thank you for the update senox. I was actually suprised to find the site reviewed in such a timely manner. I appreciate also the quick responses to my questions.

I will wait several months and check back on this thread to see if the site is accepted in another catagory.

Well, that is part of my question. I had submitted it to several directories because I am unsure as to where to put this site. I would like to know if it is still in the que for the directories below. And if it is, will whoever approves the submission put it in the most appropriate place and delete the other? That is what I am hoping for. Not sure how you guys work this type of thing. What i hope will not happen is having it just deleted from all the ques because of multiple submissions. Any help would be appreciated. The original submissions were done in April of 2004 and I would hate to have to start all over by resubmitting.

Thanks for your reply!

Could you please check the status for http://MyFishingPals.com in the following directories...

http://dmoz.org/Recreation/Outdoors/Fishing/Chats_and_Forums/

and

http://dmoz.org/Recreation/Outdoors...Personal_Pages/

The reason it is in 2 directories is because I am unsure as to where to place the site...

Thank you very much!

Sorry, no change in Recreation - you haven't managed to catch an editor yet.

[still listed in Regional/North_America/United_States/Minnesota/Recreation_and_Sports/Fishing]
