xmellman Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 Please provide me with an update of the status of my submission of http://www.stampsations.com/ to http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Children/Baby/Birth_Announcements/Printed/
donwiebe Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 The site has been listed in [cat]Shopping/Gifts/Stationery/Greeting_Cards/Handmade[/cat].
xmellman Posted June 29, 2004 Author Posted June 29, 2004 stampsations.com site submission Thanks for your quick reply. Our company creates both greeting cards and birth announcements (as well as other invitations/announcements). As a result, I thought I should submit to multiple categories. Reading the submission guidelines seems to indicate that a site can only be listed one time in the directory. Is this correct? If so, I apologize for submitting to three additional categories: http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Children/Baby/Birth_Announcements/ http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Children/Baby/Birth_Announcements/Online http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Children/Baby/Birth_Announcements/Printed If I have to choose only one, I would prefer that it be: http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Children/Baby/Birth_Announcements/ Also, if this is the case, I would like to change the site link name to: Handmade Birth Announcements by Stampsations.com And, I would like to change the short description to: "Stampsations creates beautifiul handmade birth announcements, handmade invitations and handmade greetings for any occasion. We use only the finest quality papers, inks and embellishments for unique and beautiful results." I hope this is not too much trouble and that I have addressed this to the correct person. Thanks in advance for your help and, again, I apologize for the multiple submissions if this is not correct. I am in no way trying to abuse this service. I just want to make sure that my site is listed in the appropriate place(s). Thank you.
Meta hutcheson Posted June 29, 2004 Meta Posted June 29, 2004 No, instead you should follow the submittal policies, choosing one single solitary category to submit to. And no, that is not even close to an acceptable title or description. It doesn't even bear the germ of a discussion about acceptable descriptions. And no, you haven't addressed it (the description change, that is, if I understand you correctly) to the right person, which is fine ... you've avoided annoying him, and let's keep it that way.
xmellman Posted June 29, 2004 Author Posted June 29, 2004 Re: http://www.stampsations.com/ change Thanks for responding so quickly. Please tell me how to do the following: 1. Change the category under which my site appears 2. Change the site link text and description to match the new category Thank you.
