It wasn't there, nor was there any evidence that it ever had been.

I added to unreviewed. There's a very short queue, so I assume it's actively monitored, and you might reasonably hope for a listing soon. But that's a prediction, not a promise.

It was a while ago that I submitted it. Is it possible it was submitted somewhere else? I thought that is where I submitted it.

And if it is somewhere else, will adding it to the unreviewed queue mean I have to start over again on the wait? I am concerned that it might be somewhere else sitting in the queue and I have no way of knowing where because it seems the search is not being updated.

Thank you very much for your quick response. I find this forum very valuable.

No, it means it's waiting in two different queues. That means it will get reviewed twice for a listing, but not that it will probably get two listings.

Could this be checked again please. Was wondering if anything has happened yet...

I noticed that this directory was updated on Christmas and was wondering if the site was still in the queue. Not in the directory yet, but I am hopeful!

Thanks!

Yep, it's still in the queue - but it's now a queue of around a dozen sites.

Why the increase? Well - for the last week or so, our automated link-checker Robozilla has been munching his way through the directory and leaving big red paw marks over sites that are either "unreachable", 404, "dead" or otherwise bad. These are flashed up to editors as "Red" - an editor comes along, investigates each one and then can either clear the red, find the new location, or (as has happened in this case) move the site(s) to the Unreviewed queue in the hope that they'll come back "alive" in a few weeks time.

It probably won't affect the time it takes an editor to review your site - if anything, it could possible speed things up. Why? Well, if an editor is looking for a lot of sites to review a queue size of 12 might be more attractive to them than a handfull...

Feel free to check back here in a months time... <img src="/images/icons/cool.gif" alt="" />

(edit: Oops - correcting use of <a href=" to [ url= for the link to Robozilla)

I know that I submitted to:

http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Gifts/Personalized/Prints/

But I also submitted to:

http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Minnesota/Localities/M/Minneapolis/Business_and_Economy/

as per advice from a post in submissions:

http://www.resource-zone.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=submissions&Number=14809&Forum=All_Forums&Words=webdude&Match=Username&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Old=allposts&Main=14809&Search=true#Post14809

It seems that directory was updated today. Was wondering if my site is there and how many others are in the unreviewed queue.

Thanks

Sorry, it's still waiting patiently there with ooh, pick a number between 1 and 5 and you'd be close, sites. <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

If the category was updated and your site isn't listed yet, then it stands to reason that you are still in the queue (just as you were a week ago)

Please wait at least a month before asking again (don't ask every time you see that the category was updated).

Sorry about that. I will wait a month.

Thanks

Any idea of how many are before me?

We don't have to review the submissions in a certain order (so it's not really a queue). But in both categories there are only about a handfull or a dozen sites waiting for review.

My site has finally been listed in:

http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Gifts/Personalized/Prints/

Thank you very much!!! <img src="/images/icons/laugh.gif" alt="" />

But I also submitted here:

http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Minnesota/Localities/M/Minneapolis/Business_and_Economy/

and it is not there yet. <img src="/images/icons/confused.gif" alt="" />

Would it be possible to check on the status please?

Thank You

Hey, webdude.

The relevance of http://colorritebanners.com/ to Minneapolis business is, um, tenuous.

But we have also missed http://rsdigitalmedia.com/ in the Regional part of our directory, and that definitely fits in Minneapolis business.

So I've deleted the submission of ColorRite Banners from the queue in Minneapolis, and submitted RS Digital Media for you instead. There is a listed editor in Minneapolis, and I prefer not to step on other editors, so for now I have only submitted the site but not listed it. Plus you can imagine the stampede if asking about your site here meant instant listing.

If your site still does not appear in Minneapolis in a month, you can ask again in this thread.
