Guest Posted December 8, 2002 Posted December 8, 2002 Site in question is http://www.elogodesign.com and the cat I submitted to (2 months ago) is: http://directory.google.com/Top/Business/Marketing_and_Advertising/Advertising/Design_Services/Logo_and_Stationery/
dfy Posted December 8, 2002 Posted December 8, 2002 Your site is in the queue at http://dmoz.org/Business/Marketing_and_Advertising/Advertising/Design_Services/Logo_and_Stationery/ alongside sixty others. Note that that is an ODP category, not a Google category. We have no control over what Google does.
beebware Posted December 8, 2002 Posted December 8, 2002 By the way, we are the Open Directory Project and not Google - therefore the category you really submitted to was: http://dmoz.org/Business/Marketing_and_Advertising/Advertising/Design_Services/Logo_and_Stationery/ . Luckily, since you provided a clickable URL path, it wasn't too bad (it's easier to just change http://directory.google.com/Top/ to http://dmoz.org/ then type an entire category path by hand) - so here's the status report <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" /> Your site (submitted mid-October) is awaiting review in that category with less than 75 other sites.
Guest Posted December 8, 2002 Posted December 8, 2002 Thanks, guys! I`m sorry I messed up the links. Got any idea when could I expect indexing?
Meta hutcheson Posted December 9, 2002 Meta Posted December 9, 2002 No way. The editors, see, they don't do time clocks, and they don't post their schedules, and they don't take orders well either. You threaten to cut their paychecks, and they just giggle. We just try to treat them nice and hope they come back soon.
