spectregunner Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 isn't this site little more than a deep link/fraternal mirror of http://www.formsmanagementinc.com/products/Presentation_Folders.htm ?
ddemick Posted July 20, 2004 Author Posted July 20, 2004 Similarities Can't we have a site listed covering all our products in general and then list EACH product with it's own web site page leading to the detail pages in formsmanagementinc.com? or do we have to duplicate the detail pages under presentationfolders-pocketfolders.com also, keeping the two completely separate? Your comments are appreciated.
spectregunner Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 Generally, each company, enterprise, kingdom, etc is entitled to a single topical listing. We do not list individual product pages. Imagine the car dealer who wanted a page for each new model on the showroom floor, plus a page for each brand of used car on the 22-acre lot........Gets scary, doesn't it? As a directory, we try to list only the topmost URL for a company, and leave it up to you and your experts how customers get to the various product lines from there.
Meta hutcheson Posted July 20, 2004 Meta Posted July 20, 2004 The short answer is "no". The long answer is "absolutely not. It is frequently, specifically, and explicitly forbidden by staff edict. This would be one of the ODP 'ten commandments', and not one of the last ones either."
ddemick Posted July 21, 2004 Author Posted July 21, 2004 Thanks Thanks for the replies.. I guess I didn't see the directory as a "Company Only" directory and I'm not sure I want to form a NEW company for each product line.. time to go back to the drawing board
