Richard-Galleon Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 Hello, Until recently my company website www.galleon.eu.com was listed in dmoz under computers / internet / protocols / NTP, however for some reason we have diapered from dmoz all together? Is there any way to find out why our website has been removed? Is it a good idea to resubmit the website? Thanks Richard
bobrat Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 Recently - not really. It was removed in March 2003. It would appear that it [the site] did not provide enough information specific to that category. You could probably resubmit, but find a better category that is more appropriate. You might fit in Shopping, but read the requirements carefully for that category and make sure your site meets them. In ADDITION you can submit to the most specific place in http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/ that matches your address
Richard-Galleon Posted July 19, 2004 Author Posted July 19, 2004 Thanks for the reply Bobrat, I monitor the google back links and it has only just disappeared from there. However I will find a new category for the site as you suggested. Thanks Richard
brmehlman Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 Not a bug. Thread moved to a more approprite forum.
