roror Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 does anyone use any ? is it faster than mysql? can someone suggest some native xml database? Thanks
whats_up_skip Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 I don't think the idea is to use the XML data in that format. It is simply a format that can be converted to many other formats. In theory you should be able to import it into MS Access, but there must be some corruption in the latest dump as it failed to complete the import and took hours as well. It wanted a lot of RAM (like 2GB).
bobrat Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 MS Access? Not really a good idea. It can barely handle small databases. The last three dumps as far as anyone knows are entirely error free. I processed without any problem yesterday.
bobrat Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 I have my own custom written Perl script combined with some additional software written in a language called Clarion.

Blast from the past - I haven't heard anyone mention Clarion in a long time. :-) ODP Editor callimachus Any opinions expressed are my own, and do not represent an official opinion or communication from the ODP.
