I don't think the idea is to use the XML data in that format. It is simply a format that can be converted to many other formats.

 

In theory you should be able to import it into MS Access, but there must be some corruption in the latest dump as it failed to complete the import and took hours as well. It wanted a lot of RAM (like 2GB).

MS Access? Not really a good idea. It can barely handle small databases.

 

The last three dumps as far as anyone knows are entirely error free. I processed without any problem yesterday.

I have my own custom written Perl script combined with some additional software written in a language called Clarion.

 

Blast from the past - I haven't heard anyone mention Clarion in a long time. :-)
