fbiganski Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 Request status check for http://www.movingpalmbeach.com; Larry Nielsen real estate agent. http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Florida/Localities/W/Wellington/Business_and_Economy/Real_Estate/ Can you also tell me when it was submitted? I believe it was at least 3 months ago. Thanks, Frank
Meta nea Posted August 17, 2004 Meta Posted August 17, 2004 I'm sorry, but it was decided not to list your site in the ODP. Please refer to the editor guidelines for possible reasons. Curlie Meta and kMeta editor nea
fbiganski Posted August 30, 2004 Author Posted August 30, 2004 Moved Thread Where did this thread move to? I reviewed the guidelines and found no reason for this real estate Web site not to be listed. I'm sure the editor for that category can provide an sound reason as to why the decline, and providing a sound answer would be a lot more professional and helpful. Thank you. Frank
donwiebe Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 This thread was moved to the Regional subforum of the main Site Submission Status forum because this is a status request for a site submitted to [cat]Regional/[/cat]. While the reviewing editor quite possibly could provide you a reason for the site being declined, we do not have to resort to asking him or her. The submission was declined for the same reason most of the submissions that aren't listed are declined: insufficient unique content. And, before this goes any further, you may also want to read "Why won't you get into a discussion about why you won't list my site" from our forum FAQ.
fbiganski Posted September 2, 2004 Author Posted September 2, 2004 "insufficient unique content" For the record, and not to entice further discussion, the site in question is a real estate agent Web site that offers a lot more "unique content" than most of the other agent Web sites already listed within the intended category. So I'll have to rule out "insufficient unique content" for one possible reason for declination. Frank
MovingPalmBeach Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 Submission Status of www.movingpalmbeach.com Threads merged. Please don't start new ones about the same subject. Hello: I would like to know the status of http://www.movingpalmbeach.com which was submitted to the following link several months ago. Can you also tell me the date when I submitted as well? http://directory.google.com/alpha/Top/Regional/North_America/United_States/Florida/Localities/W/Wellington/Business_and_Economy/Real_Estate/ Thank you , Larry
fbiganski Posted March 23, 2005 Author Posted March 23, 2005 Why No Reply? This is a friend of mine and he asked me why this post was deleted and it does not allow him to post? Frank
jimnoble Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Perhaps because nobody here has yet volunteered to convert the Google category given into our equivalent. We are not Google. I'm not sure why you think a post was deleted. Do you mean the one two up from here or some other one?
fbiganski Posted March 24, 2005 Author Posted March 24, 2005 Sorry for the confussion. I see that the post was moved, but it shouldn't have been merged with these previous posts because his site was previous declined inclusion (for reason we can only assume as "insufficent unique content"). So that "submission request" is dead - over. After his real estate website was declined inclusion last year, we made some changes to his website to try and make it more "unique." Having made some changes to his site, he submitted it again for concideration, so this is a new status request for a submission he performed a few months ago - it's not a part of the previous submission. Can someone please check on the status of his new submission? Thanks a lot. Frank B.
dogbows Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Hello Frank, I'm sorry but per forum guidelines we require all requests, past, present, and future for the same site be kept together in one thread. It reduces the workload of the volunteers. So, yes to keep in compliance with the forum guidelines, the threads needed to be merged. Thank you for your cooperation.
Alucard Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 ok, I'll bite, since the link was provided in the first post in this thread. I see no submission of this URL in this category. You are welcome to suggest it again, and return in at least one month from when you suggested it to get a status update - please use this thread when you do. Thanks.
fbiganski Posted March 24, 2005 Author Posted March 24, 2005 Thank You Thanks a lot for the guideline info, and for the submission status update. It is very much appreciated. Frank B.
