beerguy Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 Status of http://www.advdatasolutionsinc.com Would you please let me know if you have received my submission for http://www.advdatasolutionsinc.com which I submitted to http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Software/Consultants/ Once I pressed the "submit" button the screen never progressed or changed so I am thinking it never completed. Thank you.
Editall/Catmv arubin Posted August 17, 2004 Editall/Catmv Posted August 17, 2004 bobrat, that's not fair. He did put it in the subject.
dogbows Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 Bobrat, am I going to have to deliberately throw fairy dust on you to get you to play fair? I will if I have to, don't tempt me. Of course, I will have to figure out what to reduce you to that would be lower than a rat?
bobrat Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 Sorry - didn't notice that, I just tried to click on the link and it failed.
donwiebe Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 I ca'n't find a submission for that URL in that category, and there is no record of it having been reviewed. Please feel free to resubmit the site, once, to the most appropriate category, and then return here in a month for another status update.
beerguy Posted September 21, 2004 Author Posted September 21, 2004 Would it be possible to get an update as to the status of http://www.advdatasolutionsinc.com which I tried to submit to http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Software/Consultants/ Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.
spectregunner Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 By the way, I paid the bailbondsmouse in fine Wisconsin cheddar, so bobrat should be out of the rat trap we call the ODP jail any time now. :o
beerguy Posted September 29, 2004 Author Posted September 29, 2004 Can you tell me if you have received my resubmission? Thank you in advance.
beerguy Posted January 18, 2005 Author Posted January 18, 2005 Status of http://www.advdatasolutionsinc.com Would somebody please tell me the status of http://www.advdatasolutionsinc.com which I submitted to http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Software/Consultants/ If I've done something incorrectly, would you please let me know? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
tgilkison Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Can o' Worms "Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated." I want to give you some advice for your site... I'm running my resolution at 1024X768. I click on a navigational link at the top. It looks like nothing happens. But it's a magic trick. There is actually content at the bottom of the page that changes. The pretty Flash at the top remains the same, along with the company logo. The area to the right of the Flash looks like links...but they're not (ha! fooled me again). I really like the Flash animation though. Makes perfect sense. It's like a computer in the middle, and flying arrows on either side. You've got my attention. So, here's the advice...move the Flash to the top-right header and bring the content up so a visitor can see that it changes when you click on a link. The site content is surrounded by too much white space, pushing it further down the screen. Is it appropriate to post this advice here?
Meta andysands Posted January 20, 2005 Meta Posted January 20, 2005 It appears to have generated a DNS error when an editor checked the site, and was deleted at the time. It does however appear to be working now. Please feel free to resubmit. But do not submit to that category again as it no longer accepts submissions and is going to be reorganised. Instead find a category that relates more directly to Infolease product you consult on. What does Infolease do? It looks like some kind of lease accounting/management product to me. Most other infolease related sites appear to be in: Computers/Software/Databases/Pick/ So you might submit there, or to another category that is focused on what the actual product does. (Asset tracking, accounting etc.) HTH Andy
