The site appears to be primarily in Russian (based on my visit) to the point where anyone not fluent would be unable to use the site.

Non English sites are published in the World/ tree ONLY, in this case, World/Russian/.

If you can select the most appropriate category under World/Russian/, I will forward it to unreviewed so that an editor there can evaluate it.

It is bi-linguial. English version of url is http://www.rususa.com/en/

It might appear russian when you go to the main page, because it displays news. And since most of the news are coming from russian sources, most of them are in russian. However if you go around the site, all navigation and most of the content is bi-lingual. There's a link at the top of every page to switch between English and Russian

In World/Russian, I think, this will be the best directory:

http://dmoz.org/World/Russian/%ef%c2%dd%c5%d3%d4%d7%cf/

3 questions related to this then.

1. Does search act differently depending on which directory my site is in?

2. If site is added to russian directory, is it possible to be added to english version later?

3. If main url is added, is it possible to add sub-urls (say, http://www.rususa.com/fun/radio as resource for live radio feeds) to DMOZ later?

Thanks

Alex

>1. Does search act differently depending on which directory my site is in?

This question is either about DMOZ search (in which case the answer is irrelevant--hardly anyone uses it) or it's about some real search engine (in which case ODP editors probably aren't in a position to know the answer -- and if they did know, they wouldn't know when it would change.)

2. If site is added to russian directory, is it possible to be added to english version later?

The ODP's practice is to consider a site for listing in ever applicable language. In each language, the site is judged ONLY on the content in that language, not at all on the content or listings for other languages.

3. If main url is added, is it possible to add sub-urls (say, http://www.rususa.com/fun/radio as resource for live radio feeds) to DMOZ later?

Sub-URLs are "the exception" and you should not expect to get them--most sites don't, and we couldn't build a directory without processes that assured most sites didn't. But ... it is possible.

Hello again,

It's been more than a month now since I asked last time about my site, http://www.rususa.com

I still don't see it in the directory. Can you please let me know what the status of it is, again?

I know you guys are having problems with dump, but still I'd appreciate your help

Your submission was reviewed this month and the editor decided to move it to a Russian language category, http://dmoz.org/World/Russian/óÔÒÁÎÙ_É_ÒÅÇÉÏÎÙ/óÅ×ÅÒÎÁÑ_áÍÅÒÉËÁ/óûá, probably because he thought it was just a Russian language site. So the site is now waiting for review in that category.

I have re-added your site to the queue in Society: Ethnicity: Russian and left a note to the editor pointing out the English version. (Perhaps you could make the link a bit larger, catching the reader's eye.)

Greetings from Berlin, Germany

I've reviewed and added your site. I would love to see more english content though. There are quite a few areas that are just in russian. So I can see why it was sent to the World/ cat. If you click on some links, it will only show content in russian.

I just review and publish this site in World/Russian/óÔÒÁÎÙ_É_ÒÅÇÉÏÎÙ/óÅ×ÅÒÎÁÑ_áÍÅÒÉËÁ/óûá/. Hope the English part will improve
