Re: Site Status

Thanks dfy,

I did realize after submitting to tennis that it was

perhaps not the best cat.

I waited a while then re-summitted to the cat you mentioned.

Any idea how long or how many other sites are waiting in that cat?

Re: Site Status

There are only two other sites in there alongside yours, but that doesn't mean that your site will be reviewed any more rapidly.

Re: Site Status

The category page was updated on january 12th, but only because a misplaced site was move to a more appropriate category.

There is nothing new about your submission. It has neither been accepted nor rejected. We must still ask you to be patient. You may ask again in a month's time. Please reuse this thread then!

For your information: Editors usually don't send emails when they approve or reject a site - it would just take a lot of time that can better be used reviewing another site.

Robert

Uzs980,

Thanks for that update.

One more question if possible - Does the CAT that we

are in have a editor?

If not, will it not take a very long time before anyone

reviews it?

The category Gambes: Gambling: Sports: Tipping and Handicapping: T does not have an editors of its own, so it is looked after by higher level editors, for example one of the editors of Games: Gambling. But these have to cover a large section of the directory. We really can't say when one of them will take some time to got to the category in question.

There is certainly a lack of good editors in the Games: Gambling: Sports category and its subcategories.

Uxs980,

Interesting, as I applied to become a editor in the

gambling Cat (tipping & Handicapping), but was turned down

because the CAT was too large !

All in all, there are more than 200 listed sites in Games: Gambling: Sports: Tipping and Handicapping and its subcategories and more than 100 waiting for review. That's a bit large for a new editor.

If you'd like to reapply, choose a nice small category with less than 50 listed sites, for example one of the letter categories or one of the kinds of sports (except Football perhaps; that category is already somewhat large). One could even suggest a new Tennis subcategory if there are enough sites around.

If you do your job well in your first, small category, you can apply for more, larger and higher level categories. <img src="/images/icons/wink.gif" alt="" />

What uzs980 said.

The small categories may seem absurdly small at first, but that is where you should start, and when it comes to that area of the directory, it should be easy to find one small category where you can submit three quality sites on an application. After you get a puny category, and become an editor and can use the internal forums, it is much easier to understand the process and gain permissions to edit larger areas. Gambling/Sports in general could use two or three knowledgable people willing to do some work, so I hope you apply to a smaller category.
