Guest Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 Hi, Wishing u all a very Happy New Year. I would like to know the status of the following web site : http://www.hotelsinrajasthan.com/ It was submitted to the following category: http://dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/India/Rajasthan/Travel_and_Tourism/ Regards and Thanks, Teraexp
dfy Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 Re: Site Status of http://www.hotelsinrajasthan.co Your submission was deleted, probably because your site is just an affiliate of rajasthantravelguide.com which is already listed in that category.
Guest Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 Re: Site Status of http://www.hotelsinrajasthan.co Hi, I think wwww.hotelsinrajasthan.com is a Hotel Portal on Rajasthan, and not a affliate site of Rajasthan Travel Guide. Moreover, Hotels in Rajasthan features largest database of hotels from Rajasthan with advance features like search, reservation, tariff and more. At present no other web site from Rajasthan is providing such a comphresensive hotel information from Rajasthan. All the membership for hotilers, travel agents and users is free. We are not charging any amount from them. I would again request you to please visit the web site and re consider. Looking forward for your response. Regards, teraexp
motsa Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 Re: Site Status of http://www.hotelsinrajasthan.co I think wwww.hotelsinrajasthan.com is a Hotel Portal on Rajasthan, and not a affliate site of Rajasthan Travel Guide. They're affiliated in the sense that www.hotelsinrajasthan.com is a member of the Rajasthan Travel Guide (i.e. it is essentially a sub site). Hotels in Rajasthan even calls them an affiliation on their site. Since Rajasthan Travel Guide links to www.hotelsinrajasthan.com on its main page (in a manner consistent with sub site content, not unaffiliated content) and is already listed, we wouldn't list the sub site separately.
Guest Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 Re: Site Status of http://www.hotelsinrajasthan.co Hi, If that the case, We have removed the link i.e. member of Rajasthan Travel Guide from the Home Page and the Affiliates web page. Moreover, if you visit the hotel web site from the category I am submitting to, you will find that they all have mentioned that they are memeber of a web site. The very reason we also did the same. But we got rejected for the same. If you visit the web site, You will find this is a independent web site dealing with only hotels in Rajasthan. We do hope that, since now we have removed the links you will consider our submission. We thank u for your time, Regards, teraexp Regards
motsa Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 Re: Site Status of http://www.hotelsinrajasthan.co Removing that reference doesn't change the fact that the hotelsinrajasthan.com site is easily accessed from the Rajasthan Travel Guide.
Guest Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 Re: Site Status of http://www.hotelsinrajasthan.co Hi, But, this web site is also linked from other web site besides Rajasthan Travel Guide. You want me not to link www.hotelsinrajasthan.com from any web site. But, we all do this for better page ranking. Even if you see the category in which I am submiting the web site, there all hotel web site claim to be member of other web site. But they are listed there. Moreover, if you compare the content of the other web site listed to the content and feature of my web site, you will find that we are far better in both content and feature wise. We are not charging any body to join, we have no banner. We provide excellent up to date hotel information, and still our web site gets rejected. Anyway, the new year is not good for me. I am still hoping for the best, Regards

By removing the link, you have indubitably proven that the sites are NOT independent, and the single site should NOT have two listings there. It then becomes irrelevant how much of the subsite's content is unique. The company already has a listing in that category, and it is fully within their power to add links to as much content as they wish. Tell them to do that, and not to try these deceitful spamming practices.
