Can I get a status report on my retail site http://www.fabfurs.com I submitted it about 2 months ago to http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Clothing/Fur/ and again to http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Home_and_Garden/Decor_and_Design/ about two weeks ago thinking the first fell through the cracks. I hope that wasn't fatal. Thanks

Would you also suggest this for my site? Would this cat be OK: http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/Canada/Business_and_Economy/Shopping/Clothing/
Guest Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 You should submit to http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/Canada/Quebec/Localities/M/Montreal/Business_and_Economy/Shopping/ as that is where you are based. http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/Canada/Business_and_Economy/Shopping/Clothing/ is for stores/manufacturers with locations in 2 or more canadian states. <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" /> <added> Motsas answer below may be more correct, I based it on your contact page info. </added>
motsa Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 Actually, http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/Canada/Quebec/Localities/L/Lachine/ is where you would want to submit, not the Montreal category.

Guest Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 Yep, My reading and geography needs improving. Lachine it is. The fact that no editor is listed does not mean a category is not edited. It is edited by any editor higher in the tree, and certain editors (like motsa) who can edit anywhere in the directory. Regional categories are, in general, better tended and less spam filled and therefore Regional may be a quicker listing.
