kyoo Posted August 29, 2004 Posted August 29, 2004 Please let me know the status of http://www.rsvpair.com, submitted to 1. http://dmoz.org/Business/Transportation_and_Logistics/Aviation/Charters/ RSVPair is a free charter directory and news service. I did not make note of the date of submission, but it was several months ago, at the very least.
donwiebe Posted September 2, 2004 Posted September 2, 2004 The submission has been received and is awaiting review in [cat=Business/Transportation_and_Logistics/Aviation/Charters/North_America/United_States]Business: Transportation and Logistics: Aviation: Charters: North America: United States[/cat]. If you don't see it listed sometime in the next six months, please feel free to return for a status update on or after 2 March.
kyoo Posted March 7, 2005 Author Posted March 7, 2005 Status of http://www.rsvpair.com (6 months later) After a quiet 6 months, may I recieve a status update on the inclusion of http://www.rsvpair.com in Business: Transportation and Logistics: Aviation: Charters: North America: United States? In addition, we are actually an international directory with data and users from Australia, Europe, Canada, Mexico, Russia and Africa, but I can understand if a point higher in the heirarchy is unlikely or prone to additional delays. Feel free to contact me directly or via PM if there are any questions I can answer or any way I can help this process.
Editall/Catmv arubin Posted March 7, 2005 Editall/Catmv Posted March 7, 2005 The suggestion donwiebe described is still there, and there seems to be another suggestion elsewhere in Business: Transportation and Logistics: Aviation: Charters. Please do not resubmit. You may ask again in another 6 months.
kyoo Posted March 7, 2005 Author Posted March 7, 2005 Is there something I'm supposed to be doing to shepherd these along, or did I do something wrong here? I see there is no editor for a few levels up the tree - if I applied as editor of this category, would that be viewed as a conflict of interest? (I'd be interested in actually maintaining the category, not just getting my own entry in.) I understand the volunteer nature of ODP, but 6 months without any word at all is a very long time to be patient.
spectregunner Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Nope, just be patient. People can and do get accepted (and rejected) to edit in categories where they might have a site. However, while I have absolutely nothing to do with teh editor approval process, that category is almost certainly too large to start someone off.
