fourstardragon Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Hello. A few months ago I submitted an application and was accepted but wasn't able to log on. I tried to recover my password, but received the error, "Can't find your authentication ticket." http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Illinois/Metro_Areas/Quad_Cities/ I tried submitting another application, but received the error: "Thank you for your application to edit, however, you already have an editor account in the name of mtertipes. Although it appears you never used that account, only one login is allowed." (Through editing a Zeal I discovered it wasn't as easy as it looked. I decided to spend a few months gaining experience at other directories before applying again.) My last name is not a common one, so I think I'll submit as "fourstardragon" instead of "mtertipes." (To match my Zeal and Skaffe logons.) I don't want anyone to think that I'm trying to get a second logon. Should I just submit another app, or has mtertipes not been purged yet? (It's been three months.) The email address I used was fourstardragon@yahoo.com if it helps any. Thank you for your time. - Mike T.
motsa Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 Submitting another app would be Very Wrong. Use the reinstatement form instead. Note: it's been 6 years, not 3 months. Big, big difference...unless you applied as something else 3 months ago.
fourstardragon Posted September 6, 2004 Author Posted September 6, 2004 Hello motsa, thank you for the your reply. >Submitting another app would be Very Wrong. Use the reinstatement form instead. I just submitted and received this error message: "The password you specified does not match the one on file." (I encountered the same message the first time I tried to log on after being accepted.) How should I proceed? - Mike T.
