rdahbura Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 I'm trying to determine the status for http://www.officialquote.com/ listed under the following category: http://dmoz.org/Business/Financial_Services/Insurance/Agents_and_Marketers/Life/United_States/Multi-State/ Thank you. Rudy
jimnoble Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 Please ask again in this same thread any time from Friday 9th September. ATTENTION - Forum Guidelines - READ BEFORE POSTING requires that you wait at least a month from your most recent submission before asking here.
rdahbura Posted September 16, 2004 Author Posted September 16, 2004 Thanks Jim. I'm just checking back as you suggested on the status of http://www.officialquote.com. Thanks again. Rudy
Meta kokopeli Posted September 16, 2004 Meta Posted September 16, 2004 Unfortunately it was reviewed a few days ago and was denied. Sorry, but it will not be listed.
rdahbura Posted September 16, 2004 Author Posted September 16, 2004 Why exactly was it denied? This is very troubling and highly inconsistent with the very positive feedback our clients have extended. We submitted to a very specific category but our content is unique from other sites in several ways. Membership to this directory is important to our business and I would like to understand, if possible, the reason it was declined so we may review our execution and resubmit. Your help is appreciated. Thank you. Rudy
RZ Admin photofox Posted September 16, 2004 RZ Admin Posted September 16, 2004 You might want to take a look at the Submission Guidelines for reasons why your site was declined. And also these FAQ's. Curlie Admin photofox
rdahbura Posted September 16, 2004 Author Posted September 16, 2004 I've read the guidelines. I've read the FAQs. The site does not break rules. It is not under construction, etc... and under the FAQs there was nothing helpful in terms of bringing to light why it was declined other than implying that I would know the cause. I probably don't understand the sheer volume the editors must deal with but the process shouldn't be this nebulous. It's a disservice to those who are looking to make positive contributions rather than spam the Internet. I appreciate the responses. Thank you. Rudy
