By the way, the category I applied for an Editor position is one which said it needs an editor and I happen to be an expert in this field, just so you know.

 

I am also very much in awe of the massive project DMOZ has undertaken and want to be a part of it.

We're very pleased that you've applied but I must point out that the chances of the reviewing meta reading this thread are fairly small.

 

Expertise in a field is always welcome, but the application form is designed to show us whether or not you can be taught to become a good editor. Not all experts have the required skills.

 

I trust you were able to follow all the good advice here and elsewhere, and make an outstanding application .
