ccton Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 Hi, My site is at http://www.vicdir.com I believe the time I lodged my application should be over 2 months ago. Could there any kind master look into this stuff? I cannot remmember the exact sub-category I applied for, gotta be one of the two: 1. http://dmoz.org/Regional/Oceania/New_Zealand/Guides_and_Directories/ 2. http://dmoz.org/Regional/Oceania/New_Zealand/Business_and_Economy/Computers_and_Internet/Search_Engines/ Many thanks, ccton The poor guy.
ccton Posted September 8, 2004 Author Posted September 8, 2004 I saw other threads have been replied quickly, but not to mine. Could tell why?
donwiebe Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 I ca'n't find a submission for that URL in that category, and there is no record of it having been reviewed. Please feel free to resubmit the site, once, to the single most appropriate category, and then return here in a month for another status update.
ccton Posted September 13, 2004 Author Posted September 13, 2004 Thanks for the note. I have re-submitted.
ccton Posted October 10, 2004 Author Posted October 10, 2004 Well I think this is almost 1 month. Could I get the current status now? http://dmoz.org/Regional/Oceania/New_Zealand/Guides_and_Directories/
ccton Posted October 20, 2004 Author Posted October 20, 2004 Push up I was told once if this thread drop out of page No.3 without being answered then I can push it up by replying to it myself. I am following exactly the rule - the thread was in page 4.
ccton Posted October 27, 2004 Author Posted October 27, 2004 I don't believe it falls into page 4 again -without being replied.
Guest gimmster Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 Yep, sorry, sometimes requests get missed when we get busy. The site has been received and is waiting for review. <added> On a personal (non-ODP) note I recommend some useability testing - the entry page looks like a search engine with no indication of a directory structure until you enter 'advanced search' and you need to go to the 'help' page to understand what the site does. </added> :tree:
ccton Posted November 6, 2004 Author Posted November 6, 2004 Thank you very much for the comments. Maybe I can change the 'Advanced Search' to 'Directory' something? Actually sometimes I got a little bit confused. If I made the entry page has some visual directory listed, that may case the page looking too complicate. So far as I can say, the site provides organized contents, people can access the data via both searching and directory - the directory part also contains search functions. Yeah, it is truly a good idea to amend the link text to 'directory'! Great Thanks!
