forex Posted September 18, 2004 Author Posted September 18, 2004 Why? And can I re-submit if it was for a technical error?
jimnoble Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 Please see Why won't you get into a discussion about why you won't list my site?. The only 'technical error' that would stop us listing your site would be a disfunctional URL. I don't see much point in you resubmitting it. You'll find the reason within our submission guidelines.
forex Posted September 19, 2004 Author Posted September 19, 2004 I said that it must be a technical error of some sort because the site definitely follows your submission guidelines. And I'm getting increased rankings every week for the last few months which supports it usefulness and popularity....? It's just not listed in DMOZ...I even have high rankings in google on some keywords but I can't seem to get listed in DMOZ?? Any clues?
bobrat Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 High ranking for keywords in Google has nothing to do with getting listed in ODP. and in reality has nothing to do with usefulness and popularity - it usually just shows an ability to tweak the search engines. I speak from experience, since I have sites rating #1 for certain keywords, and they don't belong there, it's just that I know how to play games with keywords. You would be wise to take the advice given, and pursue other ways of marketing this URL.
