On 9/27/02, I had submitted the site to “Science | Instrument & Supplies | Biology Equipment & Supplies | Reagents & Kits”. That category did not have an editor, so I resubmitted to the above category. Can you please give me the status of my submission? Thank You
apeuro Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 Your site hasn't been reviewed yet. It's stitting toward the bottom of both queues - both of which are medium sized (around 100 sites).

totalxsive Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 Please be aware that you should not avoid submitting to categories without editors - you should always submit to the most specific category for your site. Any higher level editor can edit the categories lower down, along with the 250+ editors who can edit anywhere in the directory.

With regard to your second question, editors are not obliged to deal with submissions in the order they are added, so to give you a rank in the queue would be meaningless, I'm afraid.

When I first submitted and my site wasn't reviewed for a few months, I wrongly assumed that only the ones with editors would be reviewed and resubmitted to a new category.
