edwardc53 Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Hi, We've been trying to get listed for the last couple of months for http://dmoz.org/Business/Marketing_and_Advertising/Marketing_Support_Services/ Really I have 3 questions about this: 1. I'm guessing we may be lacking in content. Considering our resources page http://www.marketing-results.com.au/resources/free-marketing-resources.shtml, how much more content would we need? (Or is the quality more of an issue?) 2. What is the deal with resubmission - I have only submitted once - as it states in the submission guidelines, but from browsing the forums it seems people submit several times. When is it considered ok to resubmit? 3. I read somewhere that it is possible to submit seperate articles from a single site. Is this correct? If it is, is it dependant on the size and quality of the article? Thanks, Edward Chalmers
spectregunner Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 1. I'm guessing we may be lacking in content. If you think you are short on content, it is a pretty good bet that we will come to the same conclusion. how much more content would we need? Enough to put you in the top quartile when compared to similar sites. It is not enough to have more than the worst of the sites, you needs to have nearly as much unique content as the best of the sites that compete wiht you for the attention of surfers. When is it considered ok to resubmit? Only when you have been expressly told to do so by an editor in this forum. I read somewhere that it is possible to submit seperate articles from a single site. Is this correct? This is stunningly incorrect and borders on heresy.
donwiebe Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 I ca'n't find a submission for that URL in that category, and there is no record of it having been reviewed. Please feel free to resubmit the site, once, to the most appropriate category, and then return here in a month for another status update.
