Category status and/or deletion question

I hope this is appropriate forum for my question...

 

I believe we had our site, http://www.behidden.com, still listed under http://dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/Proxying_and_Filtering/Hosted_Proxy_Services/Free/ category about month ago. It was in Dmoz directory I think for over one year.

 

Now it is not there. Has it been moved or deleted? Do I need to resubmit it again? Can someone shed some light at its status and what we should do to get it listed again? I hope there is a quicker way then resubmitting it as a new site.

Does "Due to temporary bandwidth limitations we have disabled free use of our service." ring a bell? Your website has not been removed, merely delisted. If it's working again when an editor next passes by, it'll likely be relisted.

Ah, yes! We experienced unexpected spike in traffic and had to do it before upgrading our web hosting plan. Otherwise we were getting charged an arm and a leg for going over their monthly limit. The website is working again, and also has a few extra new features.

 

So, does it mean I just have to wait? I know it depends on editors, but any estimate on how long it usually takes for an editor to activate it again? 1-6 month? It might help us better plan our bandwidth usage since less people will be coming to our website until we get relisted.

 

Is contacting "mvlad" who is the editor of a category appropriate in this case? Will my request to be relisted falls under "URL suggestions or updates"?

By all means contact the editor, but that shouldn't speed up relisting and you're unlikely to get a reply.

 

It's also unlikely that your (probably) temporary invisibility in ODP will severely impact your traffic - unless that's the only marketing you've employed of course.
