chadmarkle Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 Hi, Please let me know the status of http://www.bridgestrategy.com/, submitted to http://dmoz.org/Business/E-Commerce/Consulting/B/ My original request was submitted on Friday, August 29, 2003 and I have noticed that it has not been addressed. I have resubmitted the request this morning in case the original request was lost. We would like our description changed to "An experience-based management consulting firm committed to helping our clients rapidly improve their business performance." ..And our directory changed to "Business > Management > Consulting > B" Thanks, -Chad Markle
jimnoble Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 Our ATTENTION - Forum Guidelines - READ BEFORE POSTING thread requires that you wait a month from your most recent submission before asking here. That was today.
chadmarkle Posted September 22, 2004 Author Posted September 22, 2004 Jim, I read "ATTENTION - Forum Guidelines - READ BEFORE POSTING" after I did my follow-up entry. By your post it seems that I've technically lost my place in line from the 8/23/03 original request. Can you please just look back to that August 2003 entry and see if its been rejected or overlooked? Thanks for the consideration.
spectregunner Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 No, there was no losing of place involved. However, we will not give a status check, as Jim stated, until 30 days has passed since your most recent submittal. The vast majority of times new submissions overwrite the previous submissions, and no record is kept of when a site was originally submitted, therefore, unless someone (presumably not you) has been spamming multiple categories, there is only one submission waiting and it only has the date of the most recent submission. When we look at it, we only see the single submission. It does not tell us if this is the original submission, or if it has been overwritten 16 times. The only downside of this for you, other than you have to come back in a month for your initial status check, is that if the editor chooses to sort the submissions in that category by date, then your submission will show the most recent submission date.
jimnoble Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 You submitted it today. That submission overwrote any earlier one and we have no knowledge of it. There isn't a queue, it's a heap, and every category has its own. If in the cold light of day you wish you'd submitted to a different category, do so right now. An honest error won't get you branded as a time wasting spammer.
