Submission Status for http://www.imaging101.com

Hello,

I submitted our website http://www.imaging101.com to DMOZ well over six (6) months ago.

I submitted the site into the "Computers: Software: Document Imaging" area located at http://dmoz.org/Computers/Software/Document_Imaging/ because it is the most appropriate and logical location as our company name should clearly show.

I never heard about our status nor even if the submission was received. Can someone please let me know what the status is?

Sole,

Thanks for the reply... I do apologize... I had no record of the actual date I submitted nor of the information I submitted. However, I had already read the multiple submission info but I have only submitted once. My question remains, respecfully, what is the status of the submission?

Thanks,

Jacob

In fact, you did get an answer in post#2, indicating that the site had been submitted in June - meaning that it's awaiting review. You may ask agian in this thread after March 25.

[rec'd] ==> the site has been received in that category

From reading some of the other posts and the guidelines, I understand that we may also qualify for a "Regional" listing.

Considering we have an office in Weston which is part of Greater Fort Lauderdale in Broward County and a satellite office in Miami Lakes, which is a part of Greater Miami in Miami-Dade County.

Would we qualify for a listing under:

Regional: North America: United States: Florida: Metro Areas: Miami-Fort Lauderdale

There's some debate on the issue on the internal boards -- and there's quite a bit left to editor discretion. Assuming your Miami Lakes office could be found on the site (I couldn't find it at a quick glance): Some would list you in your HQ office [cat=Regional/North_America/United_States/Florida/Localities/W/Weston/Business_and_Economy/]Weston[/cat] , some both there and in [cat=Regional/North_America/United_States/Florida/Localities/M/Miami_Lakes/Business_and_Economy/]Miami Lakes[/cat], and some would list you in a subcat of [cat=Regional/North_America/United_States/Florida/Metro_Areas/Miami-Fort_Lauderdale/Business_and_Economy/]Miami-Fort_Lauderdale[/cat] . If your satellite office wasn't clear, your site could only be listed in the first category.

Hi Alucard,

Based on the comments from arubin, I am waiting for our webmaster to add the address to the web page. Do you suppose this would be a good idea?

Thanks,

Jacob

From the standpoint of being an ODP editor, I don't know whether it is a good idea or for your business or not.

To qualify for a listing in a Regional category you will need addresses of your offices on the site. So it depends on the pros and cons of putting your address on there, and only you can know those.
