idleplay Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Just wondering, who actually edits the categories with no editors? and what if an editor decided to leave their position without notifying anyone? is there a period in which if no updates occur, the editor would be changed? The reason I ask is that i've been trying to get a site into a category on dmoz with no editor for a while now and the listing hasn't changed? I consider my site one of, if not the most comprehensive site in this particular category. Paul
leer Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 There's no editor for my category - will my submission ever get reviewed? may help.
nareau Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Categories with no listed editor are edited by the editor who edits the category above. So: Let's say there's no editor mentioned for the Card_Games/Trick_Capturing/Pinochle category. It would be edited by the category above it--Card_Games/Trick_Capturing. There are also a bunch of super editors who can edit anywhere. Nareau

idleplay Posted September 28, 2004 Author Posted September 28, 2004 leer - do you have to give examples of sarcastic responses when filling in the editor application form? thanks for the response nareau p
Guest wrathchild Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 leer provided a link to a Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) and used the text of the actual question as the link text. Where's the sarcasm?
idleplay Posted September 28, 2004 Author Posted September 28, 2004 It just read as a sarcastic comment - must be that eastern humour
Meta hutcheson Posted September 28, 2004 Meta Posted September 28, 2004 That was irenic, not ironic. I am the appointed ironist, and will iron as necessary.
