qwerty Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 Submitted http://www.solanaproductions.com/ to http://dmoz.org/Business/Arts_and_Entertainment/Media_Production/Video/ on September 2. Is there any news on this one?
jimnoble Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 Your suggestion has been received and is awaiting review. We can't predict when that might be. If it hasn't been listed in 6 months, please ask again.
qwerty Posted March 2, 2005 Author Posted March 2, 2005 OK, it's been six months since I last asked about this submission, so I'm giving it a bump. Could someone give me its current status, please?
Meta shadow575 Posted March 2, 2005 Meta Posted March 2, 2005 Hmm...... 10/06/04 November December January February March (03/02/05) Actually it is still short of 5 months. Please check back sometime after April 06, 2005 and someone we be able to have a look for you. See also: Why do I have to wait six months before asking for an update on the status of my suggestion? Shadow *The opinions I offer are my own and may not represent the opinions of Curlie.org or other editors.* It can take anywhere from two hours to several years for a site review to take place. I do not respond to private messages requesting site status checks. _______________________________________________ https://shadow575.wordpress.com/
qwerty Posted March 2, 2005 Author Posted March 2, 2005 Sorry, my mistake. I was looking at six months after the initial submission date (2 September 04), rather than six months after the first request for a status update. I'll check again on 6 April.
qwerty Posted April 6, 2005 Author Posted April 6, 2005 OK, I think I've got the right date this time. It's now been six months since I first asked about the status of the submission, so I'm checking in to see if it's still in queue or if there have been any other changes to its status.
Editall/Catmv arubin Posted April 6, 2005 Editall/Catmv Posted April 6, 2005 6 months and a few hours. Thank you. I see no change in status in your suggestion. Sorry not to have better news. If you haven't already done so, you might consider suggesting your site to a Regional category. http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Regions/West/Business_and_Economy/ comes to mind, but our guidelines do allow for double-Regional-listing in some cases, which might be in Southern California and in Southworth, Washington. (If your Los Angeles office had an address, it might be helpful for our Regional editors to determine the proper location, but it may not be necessary.)
qwerty Posted April 6, 2005 Author Posted April 6, 2005 Thanks for the update. I hadn't considered submitting for multiple regional listings, actually. Is the limit two? They have three locations, in the areas of Los Angeles, San Diego and Seattle.
Editall/Catmv arubin Posted April 6, 2005 Editall/Catmv Posted April 6, 2005 QUOTE=qwerty]Thanks for the update. I hadn't considered submitting for multiple regional listings, actually. Is the limit two? They have three locations, in the areas of Los Angeles, San Diego and Seattle. Check the our Regional guidelines. The limit is two. See the Regional FAQ item 4.1. (And there was a recent restructuring of the Regional subcategories which hasn't made it to the FAQs yet -- you're definitely in the topical subcategory Business_and_Economy, with full path being (where present) Business_and_Economy/Entertainment_and_Media/Audio_and_Video_Production)
qwerty Posted April 6, 2005 Author Posted April 6, 2005 OK, I submitted to http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Regions/West/Business_and_Economy/ since there didn't appear to be a subcategory that fit their business and the FAQ states If there are locations in more than two cities in the same region of the country, but different states, we list it in the region category. By the way, the links you posted to the FAQ were pointing to the editors section, but I found what I needed. Thanks for your help.
Editall/Catmv arubin Posted April 6, 2005 Editall/Catmv Posted April 6, 2005 Links are fixed now, for future readers of this thread. Thanks.
