taylor Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 I submitted the following URL recently, but I had previously submitted http://www.san-luis-obispo-real-estate.net several weeks back...I don't remeber exactly. However, I'm now redirecting the old URL (http://www.san-luis-obispo-real-estate.net) to the new one and would prefer the new URL be indexed. Can I find the status of this or update my first listing to the new URL? Thank you for your time, Taylor
spectregunner Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Where did you make the submission? Clickable link please!
spectregunner Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 As I look at it, it almost doesn't matter where you made the submission, in my opinion the site is clearly not listable. Nor is your Pismo Beach directory. In theory, if anything were listable, it would be your California directory -- but that is theory, and in reality, I would not list it, either. The problem is simple: you have a profound lack of unique content. In San Luis Obispo you list 5 real estate agents -- we list 17, plus a handful af agencies. The "standard of proof" for directories is high and getting higher all the time. In order to receive serious consideration, a directory needs to be among the best in a given category, not just better than the worst. Many of the directories we curently list would not qualify today if they were new submissions, and any number of listed directories get deleted on any given day. The name of the game is content. You simply don't have it yet. I would have very low expectations of being listed if I were you. And we won't even get into the "redirection" thing.
