Guest applied321 Posted January 28, 2003 Posted January 28, 2003 Hi there, what are the chances of getting contacted privately and perhaps by telephone by a senior editor? I have an issue which would take forever to type but quick to explain by phone and I consider it to be very serious in nature
Meta hutcheson Posted January 28, 2003 Meta Posted January 28, 2003 Fairly low, I would think. Pretend we are on the phone, type up what you'd say, and either post in the forums, or e-mail to one or two meta-editors (or resource-zone moderators). We're used to working with e-mail. Remember that if there's any investigation needed, those of us with imperfect memories would need to copy down all the information you told us (taking longer to transcribe than it would have taken you to type in the first place, and giving opportunities to introduce confusing typographical errors). If we don't need the information to do the investigation, then save time by not typing it (or telling us.)
Meta windharp Posted January 29, 2003 Meta Posted January 29, 2003 Dont forget: If its an issue which involves one or more editors, please do not post it in a forum but contact a MetaEditor per Feedback. For example one of the persons marked as "Meta" in thif forum. Curlie Meta/kMeta Editor windharp
Guest applied321 Posted January 29, 2003 Posted January 29, 2003 OK, No, it's to do with a particular company who has 10 sites listed all over DMOZ and the real story behind them and their sites, maybe I can email it direct to someone without it being seen here?
Meta orlady Posted January 29, 2003 Meta Posted January 29, 2003 Re-read the advice that hutcheson gave you. <img src="/images/icons/wink.gif" alt="" />
cjtripnewton Posted January 29, 2003 Posted January 29, 2003 Send a private message to hutcheson or orlady, both of whom have posted in this thread.
Meta orlady Posted January 29, 2003 Meta Posted January 29, 2003 Message has been received and I've started handling the situation. Thanks to applied321 for helping us maintain the quality of the directory.
