Hello.

I was just accepted as an ODP Editor for the category I applied for. :) Username="fifeclub". I got my acceptance emails and I've logged into my dashboard but I don't want to mess around with anything until I ask a few more questions on the internal editor forums. The problem is that I can't get in. Clicking the links to the Editors forums gives me a login prompt but my username and password never work and I eventually end up with a "401 Authorization Required" error message. Can anybody please help me access the Editor Forum? Thanks.

Welcome!

This Link might help explain the login issue: http://resource-zone.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=23750

It appears to be a bug that hasn't been worked out. I am sure someone else can give you more details than I can but thought this might help. Hang in there, I am sure they will get it all worked out.

Again, welcome.

It can take anywhere from two hours to several years for a site review to take place.

I do not respond to private messages requesting site status checks.

lol. :D When I click that link (on this resource-zone domain) I get "Fife Club, you do not have permission to access this page." So that's yet another place I'm not able to access. I'm sure you didn't know that would happen which is why I find it funny.

But notice how it recognized me as being logged in properly. Hmmm. You know what else I noticed just now is that my name here on this forum doesn't say that I'm an editor. Perhaps this is all tied up together?

Hello :)

Congrats and welcome....Yes things are tied together, you should go to the member lounge and post in the member to editor thread to get your status updated to editor, then you will be able to view the thread that shadow pointed you to :)

Hope that helps.

That link is in the "editor only" section of this forum. Obviously, you are not yet marked as an editor, which is why the software refuses you the access. You could head to the members section and post in the thread that is reserved for this purpose, to have an Admin change your status.

Sorry about that Fife Club. I guess I didn't realize that you weren't recognized as an editor here yet either :o . The above advice I believe fixes most of this issue.

Good Luck and again Welcome.

Glad to have you on board.

But that still has nothing to do with the original issue. Now that you are udated here, you will be able to access the editor only forum on Resource Zone, but that will not fix the problem about not being able to access the internal editor forums. There is a known problem again - see my post in this thread.
