Guest dougb Posted January 30, 2003 Posted January 30, 2003 Hello, just wondering if it made a difference when selecting a url if it included a lot of keywords:ie: if i were a plumber and wanted to be on the major keywords:plumber, supplies, new construction, heating. Would a good url be: www.newconstructionplumbingandheatingsupplies.com or www.new-construction-plumbing-heating-supplies.com I dont care about having to give my url out, I just want to be found when people do queries. Would these names be a neat "trick" to get more exposure to the keywords I want. Is it better to have the "-" between words, or is my idea a dud? thanks in advance
motsa Posted January 30, 2003 Posted January 30, 2003 This is something you should be discussing in one of the SEO forums like http://webmasterworld.com or http://searchengineforums.com , not here. This forum isn't here to help you optimize your site for maximum exposure.
Meta hutcheson Posted January 30, 2003 Meta Posted January 30, 2003 Not an original idea. And (because of the reputation prior practitioners have earned) it would be type-casting for a pretty slimy crevice of the gene pool.
