Guest Posted May 6, 2002 Posted May 6, 2002 is this allowed to use our own site colors rather than the green? for the dmoz attribution box.
apeuro Posted May 6, 2002 Posted May 6, 2002 As long as the content of the attribution box remains the same, the color can be whatever you want.
Guest Posted May 6, 2002 Posted May 6, 2002 is it also possible to change the box layout... even as to incorporate parts into the site? still keeping all contents of the attribution, basically I have no problems giving all the credit it's just I would rather have the add url and be an editor on the top bar of my site and rest of the link and attribution information on the bottom with all other types of information. The box just doesn't go to well in most of the situations.
Meta windharp Posted May 6, 2002 Meta Posted May 6, 2002 Hmmm... I just read the license again and it says "Copy+Paste the following HTML" ... See http://dmoz.org/become_an_editor/ Curlie Meta/kMeta Editor windharp
Guest Posted May 7, 2002 Posted May 7, 2002 I love getting 2 different answers... in any case I think I'm ok with changing the green to a blue... I hope, if not I guess I'll find out soon since my site is almost complete.
apeuro Posted May 7, 2002 Posted May 7, 2002 They are not neccessarily different answers. If you have a page were the color of the official attribution clashes with the color of your page, it really is no big deal if you want to change the colors. It's been done before. For example, Any Search uses a blue box. OTOH, the layout and content of the attribution box need to remain the way it's specified in the license agreement.
