Wsimoni Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 I'm wondering how this system works. I have submitted http://www.netpromoservices.com on Sept 15, 2004. Today is October 20th, 2004. There is no sign of this domain name appears in the listing. Because of this delay I have assumed (wrong) that this directory is short of editors in this category. I have applied today AND 5 minutes later I got an email that says: UNFORTUNATELY THERE IS NOT EDITOR'S NEEDS UNDER THE CATEGORY PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS. Well, if someone can see the road on this, please tell me, because, what I assume is that 1- editors in this category are owners of websites listed under the same category and don't want to have more competition for their business, or 2- The one responsible for accepting or denying applications does not really know what is happening inside his own business. I think that submitters whom websites take too long to be listed, should be thinking WHY IS NOT LISTED? thank you William Simoni
rwkat Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 That would be a rather strange response to receive. Perhaps the translation (English/Dutch??) didn't go so well. I think the problem is that the category you applied for is far too large for a new editor. We always want new editors. Honest editors. Editors that want to benefit the project, as opposed to having the project benefit them. If you're still interested in becoming an editor, please visit the Becoming an Editor forum. If you are only inquiring about the status of your site submission, please read the posting guidelines, and provide a clickable link to the category that you submitted the site to.
