Site submission status for www.personalizedpresents.com

Hi,

I submitted our site, http://www.personalizedpresents.com, about 6 weeks ago. I submitted to the category

http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Gifts/Personalized/. I think we comply with the guidelines & that I did the submission OK - could you please advise the status?

Thanks!

P.S. I think we may have also been submitted in June 2004 by the person who developed our site. However, I do not have details on that.

Thanks again,

Rhonda

If you are totally positive it was submitted to that category and that category is the one_most_appropriate_category, please re-submit it, as it either didn't make it or was submitted to another category.

While you are submitting, please also submit it to the Manchester category ? It will most likely be listed in there much faster.

To answer you next question. Yes, it may be listed in a "Topical" category plus a "Regional/Locality" category if it qualifies, and it does.

Thank you...I'll do as you suggest.

Thank you very much for your help, and for helping me so quickly. I originally tried to submit to shopping/gifts/personalized, but I am not sure where the person who developed the site submitted to. At any rate, I will definately submit to both categories - as you suggested.

Thanks again,

Rhonda

ste submission question follow up question

Hi,

Sorry to bug you again, I was getting ready to resubmit and then had one more question. I thought it was wierd that the original submission was not listed & I was concerned that when I tried to submit last time I may have made a typo in the URL or name. I would hate to have submitted a different site. Is there a way to check submissions bythe email address they came from?

I checked DMOZ for all the reasonable typos I could think of, and none of them are listed. Any suggestions?

Thanks

We'd rather not discuss what ways we can or can't check submittals. But typos aren't held against people. (If we can correct obvious typos, we do. If we can't, we just delete the submittal.)

But the editor's suggestions did represent the most efficient and effective approach to getting listed.

submittal follow up

Hi,

Thanks for responding so quickly.

I was more concerned that if I made a typo in the URL, I might have entered a different working URL - but similair to ours. I didn't want to impact another site.

As there are millions of sites on DMOZ, I'm sure you guys account for this - but I wasn't sure. Is there anything I should do?

Anyway - thank you again. I know DMOZ editors are volunteers. I think it is great what you accomplish & how responsive you are - THANKS!

Site Submission Status of http://www.personalizedpresents.com/

Hi,

On March 8, 2005 I submitted our site: http://www.personalizedpresents.com/

to: http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Gifts/Personalized/

I think I submitted properly, and based on earlier postings I think our site is OK for inclusion.

Could you please provide info on our listing status?

Thanks VERY much,

RhondaG44

P.S. (Sorry I started a new thread before.)
