Could someone please inform me if - after one has submitted a Web page to the ODP several months ago - there is a way to check if that Web page is still in queue, or if it has been eliminated?

Thanks for any info, rron

Yes, going to the forum and inquiring would be the obvious

thing to do, but I was hoping that one could check one's status without having to disturb any of the editors, since they have likely better things to do than follow up on everyone's inquiries. So from your reply, it appears that going through the submission forum is the way it has to be done. Thanks, rron.

That's exactly what we do in the Site Submission Status Thread. We prefer keeping submission status request there instead of handling them across the whole Forum (i.e. in the General ODP issues thread, for example)

you're not disturbing anybody: one of the reasons this forum is there is to answer submission status requests, just in the appropriate thread.

Uhmmm... maybe. That's why we have different threads for different purposes/questions, isn't it ? <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

I think that rron was actually trying to ask something like:

>> Is there some place on dmoz.org that I can click to automatically find out the status of my submission? <<

At least, that is how I read the question...

[And the answer to that question is, "No, there isn't; only registered editors can do this."]
